About the role We’re looking for a Financial Specialist for our growing team This unique operational finance role focuses on FP&A and decision support, providing you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance budgeting and forecasting processes, streamline operations and improve efficiencies. You will also provide analyses that yield insightful recommendations, driving strategic decision making. What you’ll do here Manage internal monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting by collaborating with various departments such as other finance teams Conduct variance analysis on expenses by comparing actuals with budgets and forecasts to drive insights Analyze and understand underwriting results in collaboration with actuaries Support our business units in the management of their operational expenses Participate in the financial systems and accounting processes improvement initiatives Participate in the annual budget process Take a critical look at the controls in place and the various accounting treatments related to our operations Make recommendations and suggestions to management based on your expertise Simplify, standardize, secure and increase controls of different work files What you bring to the table Post secondary education in accounting or finance CPA (or a designation equivalent to CPA) is required Minimum 5‑years experience in either audit, corporate finance, FP&A – is required Strong proficiency in using Excel is required Working knowledge using Word and PowerPoint Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry is an asset Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism in English and French is required due to the necessity of regular interaction with English‑speaking colleagues across the country. #LI-Hybrid What we offer Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in‑person interactions.
