Role Description Design high‑quality deliverables that adhere to business requirements, defined standards, and design principles. Develop and maintain highly scalable, high‑performance data‑transformation applications using the Apache Spark framework. Integrate code following CI/CD practices, using Spark with Scala/Java. Provide solutions for big‑data problems involving large volumes of data through Spark‑based transformations, Hive, and MPP processes such as IMPALA. Create JUnit tests and ensure code coverage meets agreed standards. Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and review code modules developed by other juniors. Required Skill Set Hands‑on development experience in Java and Scala using Maven, Apache Spark, and Unix shell scripting. Comfortable with the Unix file system and HDFS commands. Experience with query languages such as Oracle SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL, Impala, and HBase. Strong communication and customer‑management skills. Knowledge of big‑data ingestion tools such as SQOOP and KAFKA. Familiarity with components in the big‑data ecosystem. Experience building projects with Eclipse IDE, Tectia Client, and Oracle SQL Developer.
