Team Lead — Site Investigation and Remediation Join Stantec as a Team Lead in our Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team, located in either our Saskatchewan or Manitoba offices. Your Opportunity We are looking for a highly motivated, personable, and organized leader to help shape staff development and grow our business through resource planning, recruitment, and retention. This role reports directly to the SIR Senior Team Lead and works closely with other Business Centre (BC) team leaders. Application Deadline December 5, 2025 Key Responsibilities Technical Work Maintain active involvement on existing projects (project management, coordination, and/or technical role), achieving a 65% utilization target. Develop proposals and submissions to support SIR and multi‑disciplinary work. Meet client and project deadlines by completing work in a timely manner. Review and understand Stantec technical standard operating procedures for SIR work. Collaborate with other SIR team leads to drive new initiatives focused on improving team efficiencies. Work with the STL, Technical Discipline Leads, and Technical Area Leads to identify and manage areas of technical improvement. Ensure team members receive technical training on SIR tasks and track their progress. Leadership Provide guidance and leadership to up to ten SIR team members. Participate in and lead SIR team lead meetings. Resource your team with existing project work by liaising with other team leads and project managers. Communicate with sector leads, representatives, and project managers to resource upcoming proposals. Monitor and optimize team member utilization rates based on capacity, skills, schedule, and career goals. Provide ongoing performance evaluation and constructive feedback. Collaborate with the STL to set SIR team goals aligned with the Business Centre’s yearly strategic objectives and communicate those goals. Assist team members in developing career plans and achievement goals. Complete year‑end performance reviews and new‑year goal‑setting meetings. Recommend career progression and billing rate changes. Participate in recruitment and hiring of new staff and transfers. Plan and track onboarding activities of new staff. Champion a safety‑first team environment with leading‑indicator measures and prompt documentation of near misses, incidents, etc. Collaborate with safety personnel and leadership to support mandatory training requirements. Lead and champion recognition and rewards programs. Capabilities and Credentials Desire and ability to lead a diverse group in a fast‑paced environment. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences, or a relevant technologist certificate program. Minimum five (5) years of relevant environmental experience. Typical office environment with long periods of computer work and field work with exposure to various weather conditions; ability to lift and move up to 50 lb. Pay Transparency Pay ranges are provided where required. Final compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles may be bonus eligible; part‑time compensation is pro‑rated.
