Job Summary:

The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in our finance department, taking the lead in preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, overseeing inventory management, and supporting both external acquisitions and internal growth initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting, tax, and financial management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead role in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, quarterly Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and monthly reporting packages for the Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate the quarterly forecasts of net income and cash flow, as well as monthly and quarterly management information and analysis.
  • Oversee Canadian and US federal and state taxes, including transfer pricing.
  • Manage demand planning and inventory management for approximately 70 common SKUs.
  • Act as the liaison for interim and annual audits, coordinating closely with external auditors.
  • Support external acquisitions through due diligence processes.
  • Drive support for internal growth initiatives, identifying financial strategies to promote scalability and efficiency.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or senior financial role in industry or manager in public accounting firm
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA required).
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP is beneficial.
  • Proficient understanding of ERP systems, especially NetSuite.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Strong leadership, people, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
