Senior DevOps Security Engineer

3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Permanent Full Time We are looking for a Senior DevOps Security Engineer to join our Information Security Technology team What you will do The Senior DevOps Security Engineer is responsible for engineering new security technologies and operational excellence of existing security technologies. They will require a mindset focused on business value and continuous service improvement. Key responsibilities General: Demonstrate solid security fundamentals with hands‑on security technologies, follow ITIL best practices, deliver high‑quality solutions, and proactively assess security risks and close gaps. Engineering: Provide input to security technology roadmaps, research and prototype new technologies, design secure solutions, ensure technical specs, deploy solutions, validate integrations, and provide technical consulting. Operations: Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation, maintain health and compliance of controls, automate manual tasks, implement policies and tuning, report key performance indicators, remediate infrastructure, and contribute to business continuity planning. Other: Set personal goals, participate in meetings and training, demonstrate respect and diversity, foster teamwork, and support continual improvement of security methods. What you will bring Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions in a large organization following ITIL best practices. Broad knowledge of infrastructure and security technologies – workstations, servers, network, endpoint protection, secure web gateway. Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills; self‑organized, self‑starter, customer‑service focus. Leadership, communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills; team environment experience. Continuous learning, change implementation, decision making, and recommendation skills. Reliability status security clearance (required for Protected B information). Additional qualifications that set you apart Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management tooling, integrations, and operations. Experience designing and implementing security solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP. Experience with GitLab CI/CD, secure coding, SDLC shift‑left principles. Experience in systems automation and development using Python, Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, IaC or PaC. In‑depth technical knowledge of network routing, firewall policy, Anti‑DDoS, WAF, IPS, Kubernetes/Docker containerization. Understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust, and Defense in Depth engineering. Understanding of enterprise IT security risk assessments and related frameworks (SOC2, ISO, NIST CSF, NIST 800‑XX). Information security certifications such as CISSP, SANS, or equivalent.
