Course Details Course Code and Title: MGSC30H3: The Legal Environment of Business I Course Description: An introduction to the Canadian legal system and its effects on business entities, including court structure, forms of business ownership, tort law, contract law, and property law. Course Enrolment (est.) 60 Lecture Section Wednesday 1 pm to 3 pm Openings and Enrolment Number Of Openings: est. 1 Estimated TA Support (Hours): Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30 Duties The duties include the design and teaching of university degree credit courses or sections of courses. Preparation and delivery of course content (lectures/seminars); creation of course ware. Development/administration of assignments, tests and examinations; marking/grading; submission of grades. Maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside scheduled hours. Supervision of Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated superior teaching ability and appropriate academic and/or professional qualifications (Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidacy in a relevant field) with mastery of the subject matter. Proven record of teaching excellence, ability to engage a diverse student body, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience using relevant learning technologies and online teaching platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Substantial practical experience applying the subject matter in professional contexts and an active research profile with recent peer-reviewed publications.
