Security Engineering Golang GCP Cloud Security Terraform Join Coinbase as a Cloud Security Engineer and play a pivotal role in securing the future of finance. You'll be responsible for building security controls and advising engineering teams on secure architecture for our cloud and compute platforms. Your expertise will ensure the safety of these platforms through consultations, configuration reviews, policy-as-code, and automation. Responsibilities: * Develop threat models for cloud and compute paved roads.* Apply security best practices for GCP to inform remediations and the team’s control roadmap.* Review configuration changes and write policies to detect security invariants.* Build guardrails to make cloud and compute platforms safe by default.* Write code for automations that support security requirements.* Partner with engineering teams to review cloud and compute architecture design changes. Requirements: * At least 2 years of experience in cloud security with deep expertise in GCP.* Support for bridging security controls between AWS and GCP.* Experience deploying cloud infrastructure with Terraform and developing automations or guardrails with Golang.* Execution-focused mindset.* Passion for building an open financial system. Nice to have: * Experience writing rego rules for Open Policy Agent (OPA) or similar policy as code implementations.* Experience with detection platforms like Wiz, GCP Cloud Asset Inventory.* Advanced cloud security certifications like AWS Certified Security - Specialty, and GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer. Benefits: * The target annual salary for this position can range from $154,000--$154,000 CAD.* Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
