If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and share our vision, we’d love to have you on board Job Details Reports to: CEO/Founder - Embrace Software Direct Reports: General Managers/Presidents of portfolio companies; and cross-functional leaders (Product, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering) The Opportunity Embrace Software is building a scaled Finance & Banking group serving community banks, credit unions, local governments, universities, and SMBs. We’re seeking a Group Leader/CEO to own a multi-company portfolio responsible for strategy, P&L, and operating cadence - while compounding growth through green-field opportunities, supported by synergistic acquisitions. Today our Finance & Banking Group serves 1,100 institutions across North America including nearly 450 financial institutions comprising 150+ credit unions and 250+ banks, spanning Top 50 U.S. banks as well as community financial institutions that power regional growth. What You’ll Own Full P&L Leadership: Own consolidated revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, cash conversion and operations across multiple companies with ability to manage $40M+ in Revenue. Growth Strategy: Build and execute a 3-year plan to grow businesses via new logo sales, expansion, pricing, packaging, and cross-sell. Go-to-Market (GTM): Architect and lead GTM motion—enterprise & CFI/CU sales, channel partners, marketing, and demand gen; institute forecast hygiene and win-loss feedback loops. Product & Platform: Set product strategy and roadmap with GMs and Product Leads; prioritize outcomes (adoption, NPS, net retention) and ensure timely, high-quality releases. Operational Excellence: Drive the operating rhythm—QBRs/MBRs, KPI dashboards, pipeline & delivery governance, backlog burn-down, and customer health reviews. Turnaround Expertise: Lead performance improvement initiatives across underperforming companies, using Embrace’s platform and resources to accelerate recovery and sustainable growth. Talent & Culture: Hire, develop, and retain high-performing supporting leaders; institute scorecards, incentives, and succession plans aligned to value creation. Customer Advocacy: Sponsor strategic accounts; ensure renewals, expansions, and executive alignment with community banks and credit unions. M&A & Integration: Partner with Embrace M&A on sourcing, diligence, and thesis execution; lead post-close 90-day integration to deliver on value drivers. Success Looks Like (12–18 Months) Rule-of-40+: Portfolio at or trending toward ≥40 (organic ARR growth + Adj. EBITDA %). Net Dollar Retention (NDR): ≥105% in core products; strong cross-sell attach rates. Gross Dollar Retention (GDR): ≥95% with measurable churn reduction in at-risk cohorts. New ARR: $5–$10M incremental from net new + expansion. Customer Outcomes: NPS or equivalent customer health score improvement. M&A: 1–2 tuck-ins closed annually with validated synergy tracking and 90-day plans delivered. Team: Built a world-class team that can deliver repeatable high performance to the Finance & Banking Solutions group. Requirements 15+ years of operational experience, with 4+ years of P&L ownership Proven P&L Ownership: Hands-on operator with prior P&L responsibility for a $20–$40M revenue business. Growth Track Record: Demonstrated hands-on experience scaling a software business from sub-$10M to $20M+ revenue (organic and/or inorganic). Domain Exposure: Experience selling to or building for community banks and credit unions (CFIs/CUs); knowledge of their buying cycles, vendor-risk expectations, cores, and digital ecosystems. Sales and/or Product Depth: Prior leadership in sales (enterprise/CFI motions, pipeline accuracy, comp design) and/or product-led growth (road mapping, adoption, monetization). Operating Cadence: Installs KPIs, QBRs, forecast discipline, and customer health models; fluent with SaaS metrics (ARR, NDR/GDR, CAC payback, gross margin, Rule-of-40). M&A Integration: Diligence to 90-day value capture; synergy modeling and change management. People Leadership: Recruits, coaches, and scales GM-level talent; designs aligned incentives. Financial Acumen: Pricing & packaging, unit economics, budget ownership, and board-level communication. Nice to Have Fintech partnerships (cores, digital banking platforms, processors, item/check processing, payments) Prior experience in PE-backed or serial-acquirer environments Candidates from Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv, Temenos, Finastra, Q2, Alkami, Corelation, CSI, DCI, nCino, Bottomline, or similar are a plus. Customer-Backwards Thinking: Converts customer pain into roadmap and GTM plays. Clear Communicator: Executive-ready narratives; crisp decision memos and QBRs.
