Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Business Analyst with a proven track record in IT projects and a deep understanding of the utilities or oil & gas industry. As a Business Analyst at Sia Partners, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, working closely with clients to understand strategic goals, analyze challenges, and deliver actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Facilitate and create business process maps. Analyze current state (As‑Is) and future state (To‑Be) process models and determine necessary changes, including impact on roles. Identify, document, and analyze business rules governing process implementation. Assist in fit/gap analysis of solutions. Participate in planning initiatives, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and new deliverables. Examine processes holistically to understand impacts on people, strategy, applications, and operations. Monitor and measure process effectiveness to ensure consistent value delivery. Participate in quality reviews to ensure traceability of designs to requirements. Assist in reviewing or creating training materials and support change management activities. Use Business Analysis tools and techniques to document information needs and functional requirements. Perform subject‑matter research and business analysis. Research, analyze, and identify system gaps; recommend and participate in solution deployment. Create and review Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and translate BRD into functional specifications and traceability matrices. Participate in testing—design, execute, and validate processes to ensure correct results. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or equivalent education and experience. 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or PM/Scrum Master on IT projects. Experience with Microsoft technologies is an asset. Familiarity with Agile methodologies; formal Scrum or Agile certifications are an asset. Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to interact with key stakeholders and technical teams. Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies. Ability to translate business requirements into non‑technical, lay terms. Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity. Self‑aware collaborator who welcomes and provides effective feedback.
