Guidewire ClaimCenter Business Analyst – Zurich Canada Hybrid (remote/hybrid) Opportunity Do you have experience in Guidewire and are looking for a new challenge? Zurich Canada is recruiting a Business Systems Analyst with expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will analyze business requirements, translate them into effective solutions within the Guidewire platform, and help enhance and optimize our insurance systems while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. What you will do Coordinate with business owners to gather requirements through interviews and sessions for projects and enhancements, monitor decisions, and manage documentation. Analyze requirements to assess system potential and impacts on other units, providing input to development efforts. Create process models to evaluate the completeness of information and processes. Provide cost/benefit analysis, risk assessments, and scope definitions for proposed requirements. Guide users in building business cases, perform impact analysis, and support testing, implementation, and training. Lead project tasks affecting multiple business and IT departments. Evaluate project impacts through consultations with various teams. Support system configuration and integration testing to ensure requirements are met. Manage work plans, timelines, and budgets, prioritizing projects based on feedback and ROI. Perform business process modeling and re‑engineering to ensure completeness. Utilize UML tools to create Use Cases, Class, and Sequence Diagrams. Mentor team members in technology and application delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements for Guidewire enhancements. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents. Configure, customize, and test Guidewire applications to align with business needs. Provide support during system implementations and upgrades. Participate in integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment. Troubleshoot issues related to Guidewire applications and stay updated on industry trends. Job Qualifications – What You Bring To The Table Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering and 5+ years of experience in Information Technology. High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of experience in Information Technology. Process reengineering (e.g., LEAN/Six Sigma, Continuous improvement methodologies). Process modeling tools. Business Systems Integration experience. Preferred: Experience in intermediate complex enterprise projects. Able to identify and consider the business implications of technology applications to current business environments. General knowledge of financial services industry, including insurance business processes. Strong problem‑solving analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor approach based on audience. Hands‑on experience with change management tools/methodologies.
