Senior Infrastructure Cloud Architect

Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Cloud Architect / Implementer to support several in-flight cloud initiatives within their annual capital program (Hybrid, Edmonton AB preferred). Overview This role provides architecture, implementation, and operational guidance across Azure (and some AWS) to ensure cloud solutions meet enterprise standards for security, availability, and cost optimization. The architect will work within ongoing projects to guide design, implement deliverables, and advise on infrastructure support plans, roadmaps, and risk mitigation. Must-Haves 7–10 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure experience Strong Azure architecture and implementation expertise (primary cloud) High availability & disaster recovery design experience Strong grounding in cloud security : IAM, encryption, zero‑trust, policy enforcement Networking fundamentals : VPC / VNet, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPN Deep understanding of cloud compute, storage, networking, databases Nice-to-Haves Familiarity with AWS environments in addition to Azure Experience supporting enterprise architecture or infrastructure support programs Past involvement in risk assessment, IT business continuity, and optimization methodologies Background in solution / system architecture for large infrastructure programs 2-year related diploma or 4-year degree in IT / Computer Science Responsibilities Provide input into infrastructure roadmaps, standards, and strategic directions Develop and implement cloud deliverables aligned to the Infrastructure Support Plan Ensure solutions meet required performance, reliability, and quality metrics Support operational effectiveness across productivity, reliability, and on‑time delivery Review and enhance infrastructure processes for compliance and risk mitigation Participate in and influence cloud‑related projects currently underway, ensuring alignment with architectural and security standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
