Lead Courseware Developer- SAP

The Courseware Development team produces learning content for various audiences, enabling our internal and external customers to be successful with OpenText solutions. We support the OpenText Learning Services delivery teams to achieve revenue goals and support the enablement goals of the department. In this position, you will work in an enthusiastic team creating high quality, technical learning content in a variety of formats (end-user through developer) for a wide range of OpenText products and solutions. We develop course manuals, distance learning, and eLearning content that may include student books, instructor materials, learning aids, online content, certification exam questions, and other materials as required. This role operates in a dynamic environment with regular product updates. Minimal travel is required. Note: this role works in office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Responsibilities Plan, design and create new courses in various formats (conventional manuals, eLearning, video, simulation, distance learning) as needed Update existing courseware and determine changes required when new product versions are released, including research and testing of new functionality Manage each course update or new course as a project, meeting deadlines and milestones Serve as a subject matter expert in your specializations to assist others on the team Review and test peer learning content Deliver training to OpenText employees, customers, and partners in your area of expertise; train the trainer as required, including annual user conferences Work with and create virtualized lab environments Communicate effectively with the Sr. Manager of Courseware Development to provide feedback on projects, schedule, priorities, and responsibilities Other duties as assigned Qualifications Excellent technical, English grammar, technical writing, and communication skills. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new products and technologies and communicate concepts effectively Expertise with SAP products (especially SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Procure to Pay, and Order to Cash; S/4HANA preferred, SAP ECC acceptable) is a plus Experience with OpenText products and solutions, particularly document management solutions, and familiarity with SaaS platforms, Microsoft SQL Server, and cloud computing (Azure) is a strong asset Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and understanding of JSON, XML, CSV Programming skills (C#, Java) and familiarity with Eclipse and/or Visual Studio Experience with authoring tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe FrameMaker, XML authoring environments, eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, HTML5, Synthesia, LearnExperts LEAi, among others) Formal courseware development training or equivalent experience is an asset Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming, or related field; three+ years of courseware/eLearning experience for consultants, administrators, or developers is preferred Experience in instructor-led training is an asset Ability to work independently and with a team on joint development projects; strong project management skills for updates and deadlines Why Join OpenText?
