The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a Long Term Occasional teacher to provide coverage for a teacher on leave at the noted school. Responsibilities Provide coverage for a teacher on leave. Plan and deliver French language instruction in prep and planning units for the specified grade(s). Maintain classroom management and adhere to OCSB policies. Selection Process School board will identify the three most senior applicants who are available and hold required qualifications. An Occasional Teacher is considered available if not already assigned to another LTO position during the term. Applicants will be contacted for confirmation; if they decline, the next most senior qualified applicant will be considered, ensuring five applicants in total. If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the board will select from qualified applicants. If no qualified occasional teachers apply or all decline, an external qualified teacher may be hired. Required Qualifications Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Successful completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT. Will pass the OT interview process if not currently on the OCSB roster. Non‑OCSB employees must submit a negative PRC for Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months. Compensation The salary for each teacher will be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, teacher salaries range from $51,234.00 to $119,943.00. Application Process All applications must be submitted through Apply to Education.
