Job Title: Software Quality Engineer (Tester) - Pharmacy IT Dates: 12/8/2025 – 2/28/2026 (11 weeks, 6 days; possible extension) Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days in office) Rate: $40–50/hour Job Description: We are seeking a Quality Engineer (Tester) with strong automation skills to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in REST API testing, GCP, and Google Pub/Sub, and is familiar with the Robot Framework. Experience in the Canadian pharmacy domain, particularly Healthwatch, is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Perform manual and automated testing for functional and integration scenarios. Develop and maintain automation scripts using the Robot Framework. Validate REST APIs and ensure backend integration quality. Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Pub/Sub for event-driven testing. Collaborate with developers and business teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects. Document test results and manage defects effectively. Support CI/CD pipelines and agile testing practices. Required Skills & Experience: 2–3 years of experience per skill: Automated software testing Robot Framework REST API testing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & Pub/Sub University degree Preferred Skills: Knowledge of the Canadian pharmacy domain (Healthwatch systems) Familiarity with Agile methodologies
