The Quora Core Product team builds the most critical features of the Quora product, working at the intersection of software development, design and data science to create intuitive features that foster knowledge sharing and community engagement. Responsibilities Develop full‑stack web applications with Python and React. Contribute to core product experience, driving growth, ensuring healthy moderation and empowering creators. Design and launch product features at massive scale, using data and experimentation to guide each iteration. Drive projects from ideation to production using the full technology stack. Collaborate with designers, product managers, fellow engineers and data scientists to prototype, implement functionality and analyze impact. Participate in the team’s on‑call rotation to ensure a reliable and high‑quality product. Minimum Requirements Availability for meetings and communication during Mon‑Fri 9am‑3pm Pacific Time. 2+ years of full‑time professional experience building consumer web products. Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript. Excellent skills in Python or a similar programming language. Experience with backend storage systems such as MySQL, MyRocks, Memcached or Redis. Experience with large‑scale distributed systems and understanding of scalable solutions for millions of users. Preferred Requirements 2+ years of frontend experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript. Passion for Quora products. Canada – Toronto and Vancouver: $167,178 – $191,975 CAD + equity + benefits. Other Canadian locations: $156,033 – $179,177 CAD + equity + benefits.
