Senior Data Engineer – Informatica IICS / Cloud / Snowflake We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Informatica IICS and modern data engineering technologies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a development-oriented environment, designing and delivering scalable data solutions on the cloud. Duration: 6mo Location: Toronto (onsite) Rate: open Workhours / week: 40 Technical Focus Informatica IICS – advanced cloud integration and ETL / ELT development Snowflake – data warehousing, performance tuning, and modeling Python – scripting and data transformation Airflow – workflow automation and orchestration SQL – complex query writing and optimization AWS / Cloud – deployment, CI / CD, and data infrastructure setup Required Experience & Skills Ideally 10 or more years of total experience in data engineering or related technical roles. Strong hands-on experience with data warehouse design, specifically in Python, SQL, Snowflake and Airflow. At least 2 years working with AWS or another major cloud provider. Informatica IICS expertise is mandatory – including building and deploying integrations, managing mappings, and troubleshooting data workflows. (Experience with PowerCenter alone will not qualify.) Proven ability to design and implement cloud-based data pipelines, integrating multiple sources and targets efficiently. Experience setting up and maintaining CI / CD pipelines for cloud deployments. Prior experience working in a development setting, focusing on building and enhancing data solutions rather than production support. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively across teams and functions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of end-to-end data pipelines using Informatica IICS, Python, and SQL. Build, optimize, and maintain data flows that integrate large volumes of data from various on-prem and cloud sources. Develop and manage ETL / ELT solutions in Informatica IICS for high performance, scalability, and reliability. Work extensively with Snowflake for data warehousing—covering modeling, loading, and performance tuning. Create and manage data orchestration workflows using Airflow. Deploy and manage solutions in AWS (preferred) or another cloud platform, including integrating CI / CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments. Ensure robust data quality, validation, and cleansing processes throughout all stages of the data lifecycle.
