The Opportunity As a Backend Developer at Goloot, you will be collaborating on a wide range of key product initiatives, including our ad server, data management, analytics, platform (GCP) and application layers. We are looking for a passionate, self‑starter individual who doesn’t shy away from a challenge, who is constantly curious and who can have a measurable impact on the development practices. If that sounds fun, apply Key Initiatives Data Management Platform: design and implement services that collect and store data for campaign activation and analytics, including building and maintaining API integrations with third‑party platforms. Data Governance Framework: articulate, implement and drive internal adoption of technology surrounding security, access, retention and health of data. Adserving: collaborate on initiatives related to campaign delivery, tracking the required events, integrating with third‑party APIs, ensuring reliability and scalability. DevEx: collaborate on development workflows that improve speed and reliability, e.g., infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines. Goloot for Advertisers & Publishers applications: drive end‑to‑end features, coordinate with front‑end, back‑end, GCP resource allocation, authentication, security, to deliver cohesive, high‑quality results. Analytics & reporting: implement new data source integrations (API or other methods into BigQuery) to enable the data team to build robust reports. Technology Stack GCP; applications built in React/NodeJS (Postgres, Firestore), backend largely in Golang, datalake in BigQuery. Responsibilities Develop and maintain high quality Go and TypeScript (NodeJS) code, directly contributing to product initiatives. Support and maintain the GCP ecosystem (monitoring, scaling, cost optimization). Introduce and implement dev tools and practices for the team (devex), e.g., CI/CD deployments, testing, IaC. Contribute to roadmap exercise, identify investment areas and assess impact. Maintain backend systems; occasionally contribute to front‑end development (minor bug fixes). Requirements 3+ years of software development experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong knowledge of the GCP ecosystem and best practices; experience managing and implementing tooling like CI/CD, IaC, Auth. Strong knowledge of Go, Node (TypeScript). Knowledge of databases: SQL/NoSQL (Postgres, BigQuery, Firestore). Experience implementing APIs or connectors to external APIs. Strong communication skills, track record of influencing teams. Self‑starter, able to identify opportunities, thinks outside the box, result‑oriented. Bonus Skills Experience in martech/adtech. Experience with data pipelines (Dataform, BigQuery).
