BI Developer On behalf of our energy client, Procom is searching for a BI Developer for a five-month role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Calgary office. BI Developer - Job Description The BI Developer will join the Business Intelligence team within IMT to backfill for a team member seconded to the "Power BI Enterprise Reporting Environment Substantiation / Roadmap" project. This role focuses on maintaining existing enterprise reports and handling service requests for creating new reports. BI Developer - Responsibilities Design and develop BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations tailored to business needs. Implement BI software and integrate with databases and data warehouses. Create business requirements and build analytic solutions following defined reporting standards. Troubleshoot existing solutions, addressing business rules, performance, and functionality issues. Support all analytic solutions in production. Develop technical documents, test plans, and monitor testing activities completed by others. Work with Power BI, Tableau, and Dataiku, focusing on dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs. BI Developer - Mandatory Skills Proven track record of working with Tableau and Power BI to design and develop reports, dashboards, and scorecards, including quality assurance and testing. Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups. Excellent communication skills – ability to interpret business SME requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Pro‑active problem solver and friendly team player. Ability to follow existing standards but be flexible enough to create ad‑hoc workarounds if required. Using expertise to voice constructive opinions. Working independently while contributing to team outcomes and goals. BI Developer – Nice‑to‑Have Skills Dataiku skill set is desirable. Transforming Data with Intelligence (TDWI) Certification. Tableau Desktop Certified Professional. Tableau Server Certified Professional.
