Estimating Coordinator, Mechanical Co-op

As a Estimating Coordinator, Mechanical Co-op you will help with organizing and tracking the documents for each bid, keeping the bid calendar updated, and provide administrative support for the Estimating department.


As an Estimating Coordinator, Mechanical Co-op , you will:


  • Support the mechanical estimating team members and the lead/sponsor.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Support estimators with quantity take-offs.
  • Learn Trimble Sheet Metal Software and Enterprise Autobid Mechanical and complete the assigned tasks.
  • Open and track opportunities and perform other duties related to Salesforce.
  • Create PJ and M #s and perform other duties related to Estimate Manager.
  • Monitor and respond to the Estimating inbox.
  • Maintain and clean up mechanical drawings and folders for lost jobs or cancelled projects.
  • Align estimate costs with procurement costs in the estimating database.
  • Align Enterprise database with MCA WebLEM labour book.
  • Align Enterprise assemblies with VDC Plan Group assemblies. Use MCA labour book assemblies for additional assemblies that are not part of the VDC Plan Group catalogue.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering degree, co-op program.
  • Available for a 4, 8, 12, or 16 month term.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills Windows 7 Professional, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Interest in the Construction Industry considered an asset.
