Manager Business Development, Merchant Relationships National Bank of Canada is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead relationships with automotive dealers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) West. The role focuses on developing and implementing business development strategies to grow our loan portfolio and increase market share. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue emerging business opportunities in the market, making recommendations. Develop and execute a business plan, adapting to changing market conditions. Establish and maintain effective communication with dealers and internal stakeholders. Build preferred relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction with personalized service. Promote the Bank's products and services through external activities, industry shows, and related events. Candidate Requirements Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field with five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with three years of relevant experience. Experience in B2B business development within the indirect consumer financing industry or leasing. Strong account management, sales, and customer service skills. Willingness and ability to travel 80% of the time within the assigned region; valid driver’s license and vehicle required. Travel & Logistics A home office is required, and the role allows reimbursement of business travel expenses in accordance with bank policy.
