Our programs have over 25 years of operating experience and employ over 1000 individuals in the direct delivery of health and community care-related services. Key Responsibilities Help families stay connected and ensure the well‑being and safety of children and youth. Provide supervised visitation for children and youth in foster care, offering a safe environment. Observe and ensure safety during visits, monitor conditions and behaviours, and complete detailed reports. Prepare reports that are key to determining if families can be reunified and are often used in court. Work flexible short shifts (minimum 3 hours) with a mixture of days, evenings, and weekends; no overnight or 24‑hour shifts. Coordinate travel with children if required; transportation will be arranged by taxi and covered by the program. Receive training and on‑call support during all visitation times. Required Qualifications Experience in a related field working with children and youth. Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check. First Aid Certificate. Medical Certificate indicating good health (negative TB test, up‑to‑date immunisation record). Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and social services. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Good decision‑making skills, objectivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality of all client information. Compensation & Benefits Salary is $19.45 per hour as per the collective agreement. This is a unionised position with NL Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE).
