We are looking for a Solution Architect for our Edmonton branch You will contribute to the business by designing tailored client solutions providing client support in a professional and courteous manner. What Your Role at Long View Looks Like: Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges Design, architect and implement standard or custom technical solutions Develop complete technology solutions across a breadth of technology options, taking into account all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security and recovery items Create relevant documentation as required Industry Events Collaborator Represents Long View at vendor and industry events as required Participate and contribute including sharing learnings and information with the larger Long View team that is not present at the event May host presentations and/or education sessions Trusted Advisor Align with clients to build long term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View Analyze complex requirements and develops IT strategies and multi-technology solutions aligned with industry-accepted best practices Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners What You Bring to Long View: 10+ years of experience working as a subject matter expert in at least 2 technology areas (Microsoft, cloud, virtualization and networking), one of which must be Microsoft Advanced level understanding of a wide range of technologies such as: Server, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/LDAP, ADFS, Office 365, Azure, System Center Suite, Intune, Hyper V and VMware vSphere Capability to translate technical features into tangible business benefits Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations Ability to facilitate impactful workshops (envisioning workshops, art-of-the-possible sessions) Familiarity with the sales process and willingness to work within the approved Long View processes Previous experience responding to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs Demonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertise Solution focused mindset and creative thinker Strong consulting, collaboration and leadership skills Exposure to new and emerging technologies such as MS Teams is considered an asset Microsoft related technical certifications Who you are: Demonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertise Solution focused mindset and creative thinker Strong consulting, collaboration and leadership skills Comfortable working in complex and dynamic work environments Interest in and knowledgeable about current news, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to the IT user community Passionate about total customer satisfaction and creating a great client experience Committed to Long View’s four core values: Integrity, Competence, Value and Fun Excited about and willing to take 2 - 4 training events per year Willing to assist in other areas of the business Supportive and aware of following all LVS policies including our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Respectful Workplace Programs Expected Salary Range: $122,360 - $160,598 a year plus 15% variable earnings Long View is an equal opportunity employer.
