Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and skilled SCM Upstream Analyst to join our oil and gas client’s team as a Procurement Analyst. This contractor opportunity involves providing critical procurement support during planned turnarounds at our oil sands assets. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient and timely procurement processes to support inventory, maintenance, and operations activities.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible to complete the daily inventory run to purchase requisitions for re-stock and work order requirements.
  • Responsible to source materials for inventory, maintenance and operations utilizing the RFQ process in SAP.
  • Review and process quotes received from suppliers, including price, delivery, Inco terms, material verification.
  • Support the “hot seat” procurement though co-management of a shared procurement email inbox.
  • Work with planners and other site personnel to gather additional information about requests, as required.
  • Expedite orders needed in a timelier fashion or that are past due.
  • Accountable to company visions, values, and business strategies
  • Accountable for adherence to the SCM policies
  • SAP experience is desired, and preferred.


Requirements

  • Prior experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the oilsands or a similar industry.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desired and preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier quotes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective internal and external collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis across Christina Lake, Foster Creek, and Sunrise sites.
