Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Auto Glass Technician Subcontractor to join our team at Skyview Auto Glass. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with auto glass installation, repair, and replacement, along with a strong understanding of automotive safety standards. This is a subcontractor position, offering flexibility while contributing to our growing success in the auto glass industry. Key Responsibilities Install, replace, and repair auto glass in vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and craftsmanship. Assess the condition of windshields, side windows, rear windows, and sunroofs to determine if replacement or repair is necessary. Use specialized tools and equipment to remove damaged glass and prepare vehicles for new glass installation. Handle all types of auto glass and glass adhesive materials according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines. Perform safety checks before and after each installation to ensure proper fit and functionality of the new glass. Communicate with customers in a professional, courteous, and timely manner to address concerns and provide updates on services. Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition. Work efficiently to complete jobs within set time frames while maintaining quality standards. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in accordance with industry standards and company policies. Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and any necessary documentation for each job. Ensure proper disposal of damaged glass and other materials, following safety and environmental guidelines. Occasionally assist in the training of other technicians or apprentices as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as an auto glass technician or related field. Proven expertise in auto glass installation, repair, and replacement techniques. In‑depth knowledge of automotive glass types, adhesives, tools, and safety standards. Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs efficiently. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship. Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Must supply own tools and equipment for auto glass installation (specific tools can be discussed during interview). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed. Competitive pay per job or per installation, depending on experience and volume.
