The position :
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for an agri-food manufacturing plant located in Laval, to start immediately. Position 40 hours/week - On site.
Reporting to the Vice President Operations, you will be in charge of the following tasks:
- Working with the maintenance and production departments, you will play a key role in managing performance indicators and standardizing processes.
- You will act as continuous improvement project manager, and ensure that non-conformities are properly managed.
- You will be a driving force in solving technical problems and increasing productivity while reducing costs.
- You make strategic recommendations to improve procedures (modification of manufacturing equipment, implementation of corrective actions, etc.).
- Other related tasks in connection with the plant's continuous improvement (support for new equipment start-ups, supervision of major tests).

Your professional skills :
- Autonomous, with excellent interpersonal skills, you are also a great communicator.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
- A hands-on person, you enjoy managing projects and uniting a team around a project.
Your profile :
- At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar position
- Experience in the food industry an asset
- Bilingual English/French
-Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
-Salary: $85k - $110k depending on experience
