BI Data Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced Application Developer to lead and deliver critical BI data migration and ETL solutions for a modernization project. This role focuses on transforming legacy data assets, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring successful migration of high‑value financial data. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, testing, and planning of ETL processes to migrate legacy data from unstructured, fragmented systems. Analyze large volumes of legacy data, providing insights and cohesive stories to inform executive decisions. Develop technical designs, database schemas, and application architectures for complex data solutions. Write high‑quality code, including stored procedures, triggers, and functions, following best practices and minimizing defects. Collaborate with business units and project teams to ensure solutions meet current and strategic needs. Conduct system performance and penetration testing; troubleshoot and isolate root causes of issues. Evaluate technical impacts, recommend design improvements and reusable components, and contribute to system security, recovery, and performance plans. Manage release schedules, monitor project progress, and coordinate service requests with stakeholders. Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience developing BI solutions in agile environments. Extensive experience with ETL processes utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Strong SQL skills including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and data modeling. Proven ability to facilitate meetings, communicate effectively with senior management, and produce technical and strategic documentation. Experience working with trust accounting, case management, and finance systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Rocket Universe. In‑depth knowledge of .NET frameworks and C# application development. Familiarity with multi‑valued databases and NoSQL, like Pick/MultiValue systems. Nice to have: experience with DevOps CI/CD practices, systems integration, large‑scale IT solutions, and working within the public sector.
