The position will report to the Country Manager in Vietnam, and be responsible for the Execution of BECIS Vietnam in solar, solutions and biomass energy projects. You will be the responsible for leading, managing and organising both Technical, Procurement and Construction Key Responsibilities: Report functionally to the BECIS Group Senior Head of Business Operations. Manage the teams of Technical Design, Procurement and Construction, ensure the optimum balance of efficiency and cost whilst maintaining all HSE and quality requirements are met and successful commissioning & handover of assigned clients’ installations to Asset Management and clients’ teams in Vietnam. Ensure systems are correctly sized and designed for a client’s energy demand and production profile Be responsible for project development in alignment with Business Development, Legal and Finance internal teams to bring projects from awarded, pre-contract, procurement confirmation and EPC/services contracting to full implementation. Manage EPC and product supplier selection via preparation of project tender packs (incl. design and specification requirements), analyze the bids to ensure they adhere to quality requirements and specifications and award construction packages to minimize costs. Acts as the primary execution interface between the company and its client base during construction, to resolve issues and continually strengthen relationships. Set up regular client reporting and project management meetings with both clients and EPCs to ensure efficient communication throughout project mobilization, construction, testing and handover Directly manage through assigned Project Managers and the assigned projects’ EPC partners and their project leaders and subcontractors for the successful execution and completion of the projects, safely and within schedule, budget, and performance targets. Development detailed project programs project cashflow forecasts liaising with the Finance teams to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet payment milestones Continually improve and manage processes to ensure assets are constructed to the correct specification and quality throughout the construction process via onsite management, monitoring, and punch lists. Manage relationships with authorities, grid operators, regulators, market operators and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring all operating assets comply with the relevant local regulations and grid restrictions. Responsible to ensure that newly constructed assets meet their performance guarantees and obligations as outlined in the construction contracts. Provide sophisticated Project Execution reports on all constructing projects to continually manage actual project schedule to budget. Work closely with EHS team to ensure all Execution activities are carried out with a zero-incident approach and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated. Additional Roles & Responsibilities Regularly report to BECIS Corporate Functions, BECIS Management and Clients of Projects’ Progress (Daily Toolbox Monitoring, Weekly Progress, Monthly Reviews and Asset Management/Clients ‘milestone meetings and handovers) Recruitment, development, and leadership of BECIS Vietnam (Technical Design, Project license and Procurement, Project Management including Site Construction). Alignment with and support of BECIS Corporate and Regional functional teams as required and needed. Collaborate with MD, CM and other executives to develop and execute the company business plan to achieve its goals and objectives. Key Performance Indices (KPI) Timely preparation of Project Packages in alignment with Business Development commitments to clients including pre-contract, EPC contracting, OE/services support and site preparation. Meeting Project Budgets for Capex, Cost and Capability Performance. Achieve ZERO Safety, Environmental and Quality issues by ensuring full compliance with internal BECIS and external Health, Safety and Environmental (ESHS) standards. Development of Execution Teams’ Processes, Capabilities and Culture as evidenced by seamless project preparation and execution, productivity & expertise of personnel, and project timelines. Successful, on time commissioning and handover of project installations to Asset Management and clients. Support partnership relationships with external partner companies – such as EPC, technical and consulting partners. Contribute to internal and external activities to develop solution and energy solutions in investment opportunities. Qualifications / Key skills / competences / experience: Bachelor’s degree or above in Thermal Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering. Must have experience in design and project management of installation and operation of Solar energy systems, industrial HVAC, Chiller, industrial heating/ cooling system. Good knowledge of Vietnamese regulations and professional guidelines in Solar energy system, industrial HVAC system, building management system (BMS), electricity system, energy balance, cooling/heating load simulation is preferred. Fluency in Vietnamese and English. Knowledge of additional languages will be highly appreciated. Experience in using AutoCAD, Sketchup, etc. and will train to run some other software to design. Experience biomass energy/ BMS or operations will be an advantage. Require initiative in work and withstands a pressured environment. Have a good relational attitude and able to adapt to different cultures. Be open minded, agile, dynamic, flexible and open to new challenges. Ability to display and effectively communicate findings, and recommendations. Ability to work independently and work as a team. Collaborate proactively with technical and non-technical team members alike.
