Banking Services Manager

Job Summary Position: Banking Services ManagerDepartment of Finance, Government of YukonLocation: Whitehorse, Yukon (in‑office, remote not available)Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent As the key contact between the Government of Yukon and financial institutions, you will manage Yukon's banking, investment and debt services, ensuring effective delivery of banking, payments, merchant and compliance services while supporting the Director of Banking, Investments and Debt Services in research and analysis. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary liaison with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders for banking, merchant services, and cash management. Develop and maintain processes for banking, payments, and credit approvals in line with government policies. Provide analysis and recommendations on banking and debt management, including interest revenue and costs. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Support rural community banking initiatives and drive continuous improvement of financial operations. Coordinate with the Director of Banking, Investments and Debt Services on strategic priorities and research projects. Essential Qualifications University degree in finance, business, economics, accounting or related field. Experience researching and analyzing financial data, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Experience managing stakeholder or client relationships. Experience in the banking, investments, treasury or financial services industry is an asset. Remote work is not available.
