About The Role The Rare Disease Partner (RDP) represents UCB in the communities we serve, striving toward transforming the lives of those living with Rare Diseases. The RDP in Neuromuscular is an expert on the healthcare system, populations, and local access considerations within their territory. The RDP decisively and proactively allocates time and budget to maximize awareness and the appropriate use of UCB products. Who You’ll Work With This individual will play an integral role in identifying and building collaborative relationships with physicians and clinics. The RDP embraces and executes marketing and sales strategies, and masters brand messaging, targeting, and digital technology to deliver persuasive, high‑impact customer experiences tailored to distinct user segments while maintaining the highest ethical standards. What You’ll Do Consistently exceed territory sales objectives while operating with the highest level of ethics and integrity. Create and execute strategic business plans reflecting a thorough understanding of local market conditions. Master targeted disease states, including a deep understanding of UCB products, patient journeys, standards of care, and treatment drivers. Advocate for rare disease patients and serve as the authority on the various tools and resources UCB offers to support physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers. Continuously expand expertise of all treating and referring physicians, as well as payers, hospital systems, pharmacies, labs, and other components of the care continuum; maintain awareness and remain attentive to dynamics among stakeholders that influence patient treatment decisions. Maintain strong relationships within the payer landscape to ensure providers are informed on coverage and reimbursement status; collaborate with the payer access team to ensure all relevant stakeholders receive up‑to‑date information to maximize access and affordability for patients using UCB products. Collaborate cross‑functionally with UCB colleagues to share insights on customer needs and market opportunities; work together toward more effective approaches to patient value creation. Maintain a commitment to continuous improvement (embrace a growth mindset) as evidenced by insights gained/shared about geography, stakeholders, and customer needs through day‑to‑day experience; growth in core competencies with feedback sought from managers and colleagues, courses taken, on‑the‑job projects, and relevant periodicals/readings. Territory boundaries may be expanded to include Atlantic Canada or Manitoba depending on business need. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. 8+ years of field‑based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals or healthcare, inclusive of 5+ years in a competitive specialty market segment. Preferred Qualifications A proven record of sustained high sales performance and achievement. Experience/involvement in successful product launches. Success developing thought‑leader relationships. Demonstrated ability to maximize impact of multichannel/digital tools and strategy/tactics with territory HCPs. Command of key medical, scientific, and healthcare concepts, language, and practices related to neurology and rare diseases. Experience serving a variety of call points – academic centers, community‑based care, hospitals, and private office practices. Comfortable with up to 30% overnight travel as required (territory business need dependent). About Us UCB is a global biopharmaceutical company focusing on neurology and immunology.
