At this time our office is seeking a Project Manager to be based in our downtown office with a Civil background to join our team. This position will work on projects for rail transit infrastructure (High Speed, Metro, LRT, streetcars, subway extensions, etc.). Candidates must be local to be considered. Responsibilities Supervise all tasks related with the development of construction documents required for a Project Supervise design schedule, track deliverable dates and prepare look‑ahead schedule for distribution Assist discipline leads to identify design issues and prepare RFIs to send to the client as required Manage design subconsultant agreements, deliverables, and invoicing process Track all project‑associated costs related with design hours progress tracking, estimating variation together with the contract manager Work with discipline leads to ensure that design solutions are fully coordinated with other disciplines and contract requirements by chairing meetings, preparing sketches, tracking deliverables Participate in change management process and supervise commercial manager when required Prepare and provide early warnings to client when aware of an event that can cause additional cost or schedule Review project and company procedures for design quality management and track performance Attend internal and external meetings and ensure meeting minute records are kept Familiarity with local design codes, drawing preparation standards, etc. Research available design standards, requirements, literature to support design decision making Requirements More than 15 years’ experience as Engineer (Civil or Structural) or Architect More than 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Design Manager is mandatory along with local rail or civil experience in the Toronto area Must have P.
