Ross Video creates cutting‑edge products used by major Hollywood award shows, professional sports teams, and broadcasters worldwide. Job Overview We are reshaping live media production through innovative cloud and hybrid solutions. This role focuses on designing and building secure, scalable, high‑performance systems that support our next‑generation products. You will be one of the first engineers on the newly formed Cloud Platform team, laying the foundations for Ross’s cloud‑native future. Job responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of cloud‑native services and components with a focus on performance, security, resilience, and scalability. Design and implement platform services, internal frameworks, and well‑documented APIs and microservices for cross‑product needs (IAM, observability, messaging, web infrastructure). Apply a Zero Trust approach to securing applications and system components. Write clean, maintainable, testable code using best practices such as OOP, design patterns, automated testing, and code reviews. Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and conduct technology evaluations to support innovation. Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud‑native application delivery. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Stay current with cloud‑native technologies and advocate for improvements. Use debugging and profiling tools to diagnose and resolve performance issues. Participate in peer code reviews and maintain high code quality standards. Advise management on development strategies, tools, and architecture. Resolve internal software behavior and integration issues. Assist in onboarding and training team members. Participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement. Develop expertise in Ross Video products through hands‑on engagement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of software development experience with emphasis on cloud‑native applications. Full lifecycle experience: coding, standards, reviews, source control, build, tests, operations. Experience building cloud platforms or internal developer tools for multi‑product SaaS. Familiarity with shared service patterns and infrastructure (auth, observability, inter‑service communication). Designed and documented software architectures using diagramming tools. Proficient in one or more languages (Golang, Java, C#, Python, etc.). Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, system architecture. Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS). Strong debugging, performance optimization, problem‑solving skills. Experience with CI/CD tools, IaC (Terraform), Kubernetes (Helm). Experience with source control and platforms such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins. Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB or CouchDB. Experience with secure software development and Zero Trust principles. Excellent communication and collaboration in an agile team. Bonus points if you have Master’s degree. AWS certifications or equivalent cloud experience. Proficiency with React, TypeScript, JavaScript. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading initiatives. Familiarity with high‑availability SaaS architectures. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry. Comfortable on Windows and Linux. Background in media, entertainment, or broadcast.
