Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from SystemsAccountants Headhunter: Finance & Finance Systems | Senior Consultant (DACH & EU) My client, a global organisation, is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Specialist to join their Finance Systems team. This hybrid position, based in Toronto, will play a critical role in managing and optimising the company’s Workday Financials environment. Acting as a key link between Finance, IT and Business Transformation, you will be responsible for enhancing system functionality, improving processes, and supporting global finance users. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance or accounting background and proven hands‑on experience with Workday Financials, particularly in FDM and Financial Accounting. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of system initiatives, work closely with senior leadership, and contribute to the success of a dynamic international business. Your Responsibilities Act as the subject matter expert for Workday Financials, supporting configuration, testing, and ongoing system optimisation Manage and maintain key Workday modules, focusing on FDM and Financial Accounting Support biannual Workday releases, including testing, documentation, and user training Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to deliver new system functionality and process improvements Develop and maintain custom Workday reports and dashboards to support business decision-making Provide hands‑on support for integrations and finance system rollouts across global entities Serve as the key liaison between Finance, IT, and Business Transformation teams Drive best practices in finance system governance, control, and user adoption Provide user support and training to finance teams to maximise system effectiveness Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional accounting qualification is an asset Proven experience working with Workday Financials, ideally in a subject matter expert or administrative role Strong understanding of core finance processes and accounting principles Experience with EPM tools (e.g. Oracle EPM or Adaptive Planning) is advantageous Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and approachable attitude Based in or commutable to Toronto, Ontario; hybrid working with flexibility for remote work within the province Apply online/via LinkedIn or email your CV to For more information on this and related ERP, HCM and Digital Finance career opportunities, or to understand how we can support you, please contact Oliver Steele at SystemsAccountants : Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Finance, Accounting/Auditing, and Information Technology Industries: Staffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
