Position Information Department: Sales Location: Remote Status: Full Time Reports to: Director, Field Operations, Network Development & CX Summary Of Responsibilities The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading and driving the sales performance of a defined region by effectively managing a team of District Managers and supporting a network of Yamaha dealerships. The RSM will have direct accountability for achieving retail, wholesale, and profitability goals, while ensuring operational excellence, strategic network development, best‑in‑class customer satisfaction (CX) and performance optimization across all revenue streams (unit sales, parts & accessories, and Yamalube). This position requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and operational execution to build and sustain a high‑performing field team and dealer network. Team Leadership & Operational Oversight Lead, coach, and develop a team of District Managers, setting clear expectations and ensuring consistent field execution. Responsible for all Product Groups (including P&A and Yamalube). Monitor and enforce store visit cadence guidelines (3–4 days per week in market), ensuring impactful dealer interactions and thorough contact documentation & follow‑up. Promote effective use of all available field tools, including but not limited to online dealer contact scheduling and reporting (SalesForce). Proactive KPI performance tracking and steering such as Lead Management and YMCA’s Dealer Excellence Programs (P360 and Elite). Guide District Managers in maintaining high standards with dealer contacts, including strategic visit cadence (revenue, impact, etc.), purposeful agenda setting, documentation and follow‑up. Actively support all business channels within assigned region, including OEM Boat Builders and Special Markets. Dealer Network Performance & Development Oversee holistic dealer performance, including sales, service and profitability KPI’s. Lead and support dealer performance improvement activities, buy/sell recommendations, prospecting, and strategic optimization of the region. Collaborate with and support the Network Development department on potential dealer enhancements, expansions, and general alignment of strategies. Sales Success Planning & Execution Ensure full allocation coverage during Unit and P&A bookings, always maintaining close oversight of regional inventory health & requirements to ensure the desired results are being realized (month’s supply, model mix, aging units, non‑current, etc.). Drive execution of retail and wholesale target achievement through strategic planning and local market activation. Analyze regional data to identify opportunities and implement corrective action where needed. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Host a regional dealer meeting annually and lead quarterly regional dealer webinars to communicate YTD business results (volume & share performance), industry insights, regional priorities and dealer alignment around current and future goals & opportunities. Conduct regular weekly touchpoints with the District Manager team to drive performance and maintain alignment with national strategic priorities. Spend one week per month at headquarters to liaise with cross‑functional teams and participation in strategic business meetings. Participate in YMCA’s Network Steering Committee to shape the strategic direction of the dealer network and contribute to long‑term planning. Budget & Strategic Management Own and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and alignment with broader corporate goals. Support District Managers with key dealership events and initiatives that will deliver a positive ROI for YMCA and/or drive clear value for the retail customer. Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements Degree/Diploma: Degree or Diploma Program of Study: Business, Marketing, Automotive or Related Field Years of Experience: 7 - 10 years preferred Type of Experience: Retail and OEM service functions Skills and Abilities Bilingual in English and French Proven ability to lead teams, influence dealer operations, and deliver measurable sales results. Deep understanding of dealer operations, retail/wholesale processes, and inventory management. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Business and financial acumen.
