Overview Medical Oncologist. Regular, Full-Time (1.0 FTE). Kamloops, BC. BC Cancer is seeking a Medical Oncologist to join its Kamloops Satellite Clinic team, operated by BC Cancer – Kelowna, located in British Columbia’s Interior Region. As part of the province’s 10-year BC cancer action plan, BC Cancer, in partnership with Interior Health, is building a new cancer centre at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops to bring cancer care closer to home for patients and families facing cancer. Responsibilities Work with a well-established team of specialized medical oncologists, GP oncologists, and allied health professionals. Participate in clinical, research, administrative and educational activities. Report to the Department Head of Medical Oncology at BC Cancer – Kelowna. Have an opportunity to be a part of the development of the new cancer centre at Royal Inland Hospital. Service contract and salary options are available. Qualifications Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology. Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Royal Inland Hospital. Eligibility for a clinical appointment to the University of British Columbia, Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine.
