Plant Manager

**Title: Plant Manager****Job Description**The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing and establishing processes to ensure the smooth daily operations of the Edmonton production facility. This role involves managing the complete operational process to maximize production performance while adhering to established safety, quality, and cost parameters. The Plant Manager will primarily work in an office environment but is expected to visit the production floor daily to assist and mentor production staff as needed. Key duties include planning, budgeting, and scheduling, with collaboration across all three shifts and the Engineering Department.**Responsibilities**Oversee daily operations and plant management, including planning, integration, and execution of the production schedule, manpower planning, inventory control, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and customer service.Understand and develop business and operational processes, determining required corrective actions and improvements.Troubleshoot issues as they arise and approve high-priority projects within the department.Lead management teams to ensure continuous improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs.Establish and monitor continuous improvements on departmental KPIs and OKRs.Work with Operations to manage budgets and control costs, including reviewing weekly forecasts, capital expenditures, and headcount.Oversee and approve the training of departmental employees to meet company standards for quality, quantity, and safety.Ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment, maintaining all equipment, workstations, and devices.Ensure compliance with ESA, OHSA, and other applicable legislated environmental, health, and safety regulations.**Essential Skills**Minimum 5 years of Plant Management ExperienceKnowledge of Metal FabricationConstruction Knowledge in Production or EngineeringLarge Scale Process Improvement KnowledgeLean ManufacturingSafety and Six Sigma ExpertiseProcess ImprovementEngineering and Management SkillsSupervision and Project ManagementHSE ManagementQuality Assurance**Additional Skills & Qualifications**Experience in Aluminum Fabrication (welding)Welding/Fabrication ExperienceQA/QC Experience**Why Work Here?**Join a large and growing company with offices across Canada and expanding into the US.
