Pest Control Service and Sales Technician Ecolab is seeking a Pest Service and Sales Technician to join its industry leading Pest Elimination team. In this position, you will provide timely and cost‑effective pest detection, elimination, and prevention solutions to an established route of commercial customers. You’ll drive sales and attain budget goals by leveraging prospecting, cold calling, and networking skills and provide brand protection to your around‑the‑clock customers, including commercial businesses such as restaurants, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, retail stores, and food and beverage processing plants. Keep abreast of Ecolab’s product/service offerings and industry conditions to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions. Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues. Maintain flexibility to adjust your day to assist customers in a round‑the‑clock in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment. Build a sales pipeline by cold‑calling and prospecting to secure new accounts and generate new sales within a specific geographic area as you build Ecolab’s brand in your market. Discover sales opportunities, implement sales strategies set, while also contributing with own insight on enhancing strategies and plans. Position Details Candidate must reside in Squamish, Whistler, North Vancouver or West Vancouver BC or within 45 minutes of position territory. Route territory will include Squamish, Whistler, North Vancouver and surrounding area. Weekend coverage: Every 10‑12 weeks. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Two years work experience preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, and ability to drive and maintain a company vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition. Must be able to work an overnight shift. Willingness to be on‑call during off‑work hours and weekends as necessary. Immigration sponsorship not available for this role. Physical Demands Ability to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) chest high. Comfortable working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces, damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions. Physically capable of lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear. Capable of wearing a respirator. Possess or able to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to country or provincial law. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service experience. Ability to sell value‑added products to existing customers. Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred. Sales experience preferred. Opportunity for growth and advancement. Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range: $24.04 - $26.44/Hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full‑time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range.
