This role is ideal for experienced contributors who understand open-source workflows, complex Git operations, and real-world repository management. Who You Are An open-source developer or maintainer with experience contributing to and reviewing code in active repositories Comfortable reasoning about Git at a deep, technical level Skilled in debugging repository states and repairing broken commit histories without data loss Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of software engineering experience in open-source, backend development, or DevOps Demonstrated contributions on GitHub, GitLab, or other OSS platforms (Bonus) Experience in code review, open-source governance, or AI/LLM model evaluation ⚡ PS: Mercor reviews applications daily.
