Career Opportunity – Electrical Project Manager – Mississauga, ON Our client is a leading family-owned Electrical Contractor based in the GTA. The company’s ongoing growth has created the need for an additional Project Manager (Electrical) to manage projects across the GTA. The position reports to the V.P. of Operations and will be based out of the company’s office in Mississauga. Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee electrical construction and service projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with and managing projects with an electrical contractor company. This position requires a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships effectively. The successful candidate must have experience with Accubid and change notice software. The manager will coordinate with clients, engineers, and field staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the company’s high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously. Review project specifications, drawings, and estimates to determine scope and resources. Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets. Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower with field supervisors and suppliers. Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. Prepare and process change orders, RFIs, and progress billings through Accubid. Lead project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. Ensure all work meets code requirements and company standards. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in project management within the electrical construction industry. Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience as a licensed electrician. Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and specifications. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong project management skills and proven abilities to prioritize and multi-task. Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Procore, Accubid or similar). The successful candidate can expect competitive compensation plus vehicle allowance and extended medical/dental/health coverage.
