About the Role We’re looking for a strategic, hands‑on Director of Finance to join our leadership team and play a critical role in driving scalable growth for Metronomics. This position offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy, optimize processes, and deliver insights that influence key business decisions with the leadership team. This is a hybrid‑preferred role based in Whistler, BC, but we are open to fully remote candidates. You’ll own financial operations end‑to‑end, ensure robust scalable systems, and lead projects with clear documentation. You must be an avid learner with the ability to manage the day‑to‑day of the finance function and lead the financial strategy of the business. Location: Whistler, BC (Hybrid) or Remote Employment Type: Full‑Time Salary Range: $85,000–$110,000 CAD annually, based on experience Key Accountabilities Own full‑cycle accounting (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, month‑end/year‑end close). Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting with clear guidance and simple models for the leadership team. Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and compliance with CRA and IFRS standards. Monitor cash flow and implement cost‑efficiency strategies to support scalable growth. Provide strategic financial insights to inform leadership decisions. Drive process improvements for efficiency and scalability. Build an A‑player finance team by defining structure, hiring top talent, and fostering a high‑performance culture. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting and financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems. Familiarity with CRA and provincial tax laws, and IFRS accounting standards. CPA designation or enrollment in a CPA program preferred. Exceptional analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities. Experience with QuickBooks Online a bonus Why Join Metronomics?
