Our Maintenance Generalist's are vital to maintaining our Team Member’s safety through problem‑solving and proactive upkeep. Shift Schedule C Shift 4 Days on and 3 Days off 6 am to 6 pm Position Summary Position is responsible for maintaining equipment in good working condition. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs Perform preventing maintenance Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Plant equipment Minimize downtime due to equipment failure Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift Handle all mechanical problems that may ariseEnsure work area is clean at all time Record keeping and attention to detail Requirements Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping Frequent overhead work Basic Math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must have at least 1 year of industrial maintenance work experience and 6 months of work history with 1 employer within the last 2 years listed on application. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
