Job Title: Android Developer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week) Contract Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension) About the Role We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and maintaining Android applications, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week in Toronto . Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java . Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend developers. Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness. Integrate APIs and third-party libraries as needed. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications 8+ years of professional experience in Android development. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java . Experience with Android SDK , Jetpack components , and MVVM architecture . Familiarity with RESTful APIs , JSON , and third-party integrations . Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. Understanding of UI/UX principles for Mobile applications. Experience with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
