Manager, Accounting Advisory Services ACCA Careers invites an experienced manager to lead our Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team. This role offers the chance to make an impact in a rapidly evolving field of accounting and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Provide technical accounting advisory services, addressing implications of significant transactions, new accounting standards, and frameworks on financial reporting and business objectives. Support clients in their go‑public journey, including developing strategies, establishing milestones, and preparing financial information for regulatory compliance. Perform technical accounting research, prepare client documentation, and identify accounting issues within contracts and agreements. Mentor, motivate and coach team members toward professional and personal development. Prepare financial statements and corresponding notes. Apply knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE. Collaborate with MNP’s Corporate Finance, Tax, Valuation, Forensics, and Litigation Support teams to offer comprehensive services. Update senior manager or engagement partner on progress of engagements. Prepare professional correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining findings and highlights. Develop and maintain relationships with client management. Lead engagement teams while coaching and mentoring staff. Attend internal MNP courses to further develop accounting knowledge. Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness. Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews. Raise awareness of MNP through community events and client‑company sponsored functions. Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities. Skills And Experience Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in public accounting. Experience auditing public companies in Canada or the US. Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and ASPE. Experience leading, managing and mentoring team members. Experience leading client engagements and interacting directly with clients. Experience with proposals and business development. Experience dealing with Canadian and US securities regulators is an asset. Solid understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles. Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Some travel may be required.
