Manager, Pharmaceutical Reviews Canada’s Drug Agency (CDA-AMC) is a pan‑Canadian health organization that provides independent evidence and advice to support drug and health technology decision‑making across Canada. The Manager, Pharmaceutical Reviews will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical reviews that inform federal, provincial, and territorial health authorities. Location: Ottawa, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario (hybrid). Status: Full time, indefinite. Closing date: November 14, 2025. Salary range: $112,200 to $139,740 per year. Primary Responsibilities Implement program policies and procedures to ensure effective, high‑quality delivery of pharmaceutical reviews. Final review and sign‑off of pharmaceutical reports for director approval before release to the client or the public. Provide management guidance and assess performance of Senior Review Officers and Research Assistants, ensuring compliance with CDA‑AMC systems and procedures. Onboard, develop, and promote evidence‑based practices, research, education, and training for the team. Determine staff allocation and resourcing of reviews to meet service delivery and scheduling limits. Communicate job expectations, monitor, audit, and appraise productivity and outcomes. Provide operational leadership for continuous improvement initiatives. Lead quality improvement initiatives based on priorities, strategy, and goals. Attend and/or lead relevant internal and external meetings to maintain awareness of project deliverables. Work collaboratively with other directorates and stakeholders to promote CDA‑AMC products and high‑quality standards. Required Qualifications Postgraduate degree in a health‑related discipline with experience leading a team using effective management techniques (coaching, mentoring, skill development, decision‑making, performance management). Broad experience and solid understanding of research methods, systematic reviews, pharmaceutical appraisals, health technology assessments, the Canadian health care system, legislation, and decision‑making processes. Achievement‑oriented, strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to understand long‑term organizational strategy and vision. Inspirational leadership: energize staff, create direction and purpose, and drive change in complex situations. Innovative, risk‑tolerant approach to setting priorities and achieving results efficiently. Asset Qualifications Fluency in French.
