Senior Estimator – Cladding, Façade & Integrated Systems (Solar) Location: Etobicoke, ON | Hybrid Option Available Industry: Architectural Cladding, Façade & Integrated Building Systems Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Onsite or Hybrid) About the Role Our client, a leader in advanced cladding and integrated building envelope systems, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team in Etobicoke. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of manufacturing-based estimating , with a proven track record in bidding, tendering, and cost analysis for large-scale façade and architectural envelope projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys technical collaboration, and understands how to translate complex drawings, assemblies, and specifications into competitive, accurate bids. Key Responsibilities Lead all estimating activities for architectural cladding, façade, and integrated solar system projects. Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid packages from architectural and structural drawings. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to validate scope, materials, and production costs. Oversee tender preparation, prequalification submissions, and bid presentations. Manage subcontractor pricing, supplier quotes, and vendor relationships. Identify cost-saving opportunities, value-engineering options, and potential risk factors. Support the development of standardized estimating templates and procedures. Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition to execution teams. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in estimating within cladding, façade, curtain wall, or integrated solar system manufacturing . Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production costing . Proven success in bidding and tendering for mid-to-large-scale commercial and institutional projects. Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent). Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred Background Experience working with BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaic) systems or other integrated solar envelope technologies . Familiarity with metal cladding systems, curtain wall assemblies, or rainscreen systems . An engineering or Architectural Technologist background is an asset.
