DMZ operates a global network of hubs in 15+ countries. The Opportunity Director, Programs will plan, organize and manage the strategic operation of DMZ’s startup programs and associated services. Oversee and refine program offerings, ensuring they are founder/client‑focused. Maintain direct connections with startup teams, prioritising their needs. Responsibilities Work with the Senior Director on long‑term program strategy to attract, evaluate and support DMZ start‑up companies aligned with our culture and goals. Develop and execute strategies to streamline current programs and create customized services for start‑up teams at all stages. Assess ongoing startup performance and manage one‑on‑one mentoring sessions. Create programs for partners (e.g., Black Innovation Summit, Women Innovation Summit) and special cohorts, including structure, guidelines and evaluation mechanisms. Recruit high‑quality startups locally and globally; coordinate recruitment events and community engagement. Manage hiring, performance and development of program staff. At least 5 years of relevant experience building and working with start‑ups. Demonstrated project management skills. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities. Excellent people‑management and communication skills. Track record of on‑time, on‑budget program development. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
