Job Summary As the Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our Client's SaaS platform. This is not a typical sales role: it’s an opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking team that is reimagining the telco industry. Desired Outcomes Lead large to medium telco account engagements and be responsible to deliver on the sales KPIs such as new funnel creation, timely opportunity progression, and closure of opportunities. Steer sales strategic direction and plan, collaboratively developing and executing this with cross‑functional teams, with a focus on growth and increased market share. Build and enhance C‑suite/VP level relationships with both existing and new clients/accounts – new account development will be critical to the success of this role. Establish a structured sales methodology and process, including opportunity validation, pursuit & closure, and a strong sales operating cadence. Optimize sales tools and provide greater visibility and actionable data for targeted sales efforts. Become a thought leader in the telco vertical SaaS space by establishing credibility and bringing an informed POV on best practices and trends. Client Requirements 15+ years of USA and Canada sales experience in telco SaaS software business, with extensive exposure to telecom operators across multiple markets. Strong existing network with C‑suite executives in client organizations and a track record in building C‑suite relationships. Solution/consultative selling in the domain of BSS and customer experience to telco clients, with clear understanding of problem statements and key value drivers. Ability to articulate a value proposition tied to tangible outcomes for the customer. Participation in customer events, including presentations at shows and conferences. Analytical mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to challenge the status quo with a quantitative point of view. Strong believer and practitioner of value‑based selling methodology, comfortable with business cases and explaining them at C‑level to telco clients. Track record of closing large and complex B2B deals (long sales cycle, multiple decision makers, high deal value) with ARR values of $8M‑$15M, delivering 2x growth in the initial years of the growth phase. Experience delivering growth through channel partnerships, strategic alliances, or advisors. Willingness to adapt and learn in a rapidly changing environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with self‑motivation and the ability to create opportunities independently. Ability to work across multiple time zones in a matrixed environment.
