Area Manager, Victoria – Associated Engineering Join to apply for the Area Manager, Victoria role at Associated Engineering The successful candidate will provide direction and leadership to staff within the Victoria Office. The primary focus of the office is to provide civil engineering services to our clients. The office services a diverse client sector, including urban and rural communities, private industry, utility companies, and contractors. Responsibilities Lead the business of the Office. Be technically competent and drive the technical performance of the team. Possess a credible understanding of project management, engineering planning and design, and construction. Take a lead role in business, client relationships, and team development. Ensure that the Victoria office’s objectives are achieved by developing and executing an annual business plan, including objectives on business development, staffing, project delivery, and financial performance. Organize and lead market development, identifying opportunities and threats, recruiting and training needs, and executing business development initiatives. Provide operational management, delivering strong financial performance and monitoring projects for schedule, financial, and technical performance. Review prospects to ensure pursuits are within company capabilities and risks are managed. Deliver outstanding service to clients by assigning and supporting Client Service Managers, ensuring successful project delivery, and managing projects as needed. Keep staff technically current through training, conferences, seminars, and by recommending attendance and presentations with approval of the General Manager. Ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance with accepted industry standards, company procedures, and client expectations. Qualifications Undergraduate Engineering degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or a diploma from an accredited technical institution. Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional with EGBC or ASTTBC. Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction, and management. Minimum 10 years working in the consulting engineering industry. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license. Demonstrated experience in managing civil engineering and multi-discipline projects. Experience in business development in both private and public sectors. Project management and controls with a proven track record of client delivery, satisfaction, and financial success. Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring staff. Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants. The salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $250,000.00 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
