Process Engineering Manager

Process Engineering Manager GVA Lighting is looking for a Process Engineering Manager to join our team. Primary Roles and Strategic Functions Build and maintain world‑class Lean Manufacturing Processes. Continually improve and adjust manufacturing processes to achieve company goals and targets by balancing capacity and maximizing throughput, monitoring critical metrics and achieving KPIs. Champion scale‑up of manufacturing capacity, optimize layout, develop new production lines, introduce automation. Initiate and own continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor, including 5S and Kaizen implementation. Supervise, coach and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians; plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities, provide performance feedback. Implement preventive maintenance routines for existing production equipment to reduce downtime and recommend equipment acquisition to improve productivity, quality, safety, and throughput. Own new product introduction (NPI) activities, release and approve drawings for production, and participate in design review meetings with multidisciplinary teams. Own Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) and process First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure desired capacity and quality of introduced manufacturing processes. ERP Functions Expert in Production Management and Maintenance Management modules in ERP. Verify resource groups, routings, cycle times, and BOMs before Work Orders are issued. Review and adjust Work Orders to ensure proper material and quantity usage. Analyze and investigate manufacturing variances. Analyze and correct ERP problems for Production and Maintenance. EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Functions Perform surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards related to employee and facility safety. Investigate safety incidents, develop remedial action plans, file formal reports, and liaise with relevant regulators. Coordinate and direct site emergency planning and response; develop and conduct safety trainings. Monitor and keep safety certifications of GVA employees up to date. Facilitate the plant safety committee (JHSC) and assist in committee activities. Complete health and safety tasks as assigned. Assist with external audits (insurance carrier, fire departments, local agencies) and resolve outstanding issues. Responsible for the facility's fire protection system: maintain records, ensure inspections, conduct fire drills, and adhere to insurance recommendations. Implement and maintain programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with legislation and corporate policy. Keep records as required to comply with all relevant health, safety and environmental laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing/process engineering leadership roles, preferably in electronics assembly companies. Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering degree (or equivalent). High performer with a proven record. Passionate about continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Strong technical background and hands‑on experience. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Outstanding analytical skills and root‑cause analysis expertise. Proactive and initiative problem solver. Excellent communication skills and positive attitude. Quality and safety oriented. Lean Six Sigma or PMP certificates are an asset.
