As the Risk and Control Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of operational controls for Property and Casualty business areas across all lines of business. You will make recommendations on improving processes and controls to mitigate risks associated with ongoing operations and strategic initiatives, ensuring operating effectiveness through continuous monitoring. You will work closely with stakeholders across the group of companies, at various levels of management, to ensure P&C Insurance Solutions risk is appropriately managed. Responsibilities Consult with business partners to assess impacts of operations and strategic initiatives to identify risks, inform control development and minimize downstream impacts. Develop impact assessments and risk management action plans, mitigating controls and ensuring accuracy and integrity of P&C Insurance Solutions operations. Create and maintain business processes and data flows, evaluate the effectiveness of controls, assess process limitations and impacts, and design new controls to minimize risks. Test and document the effectiveness of controls and assist the business areas in developing plans to remediate identified weaknesses. Build a high‑performing team where learning, sharing knowledge and innovation are encouraged and valued. Qualifications At least five years of experience in auditing, project management or information technology, with insurance industry knowledge in risk and regulatory compliance. Post‑secondary degree in commerce, business administration, information technology or a related discipline. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, effective problem solving and people‑leadership experience. Working toward or holding a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Life Office Management Association (LOMA) designation. Strong working knowledge of audit methodologies, project management methodologies, flowcharting, control frameworks and risk management techniques. Proficiency in English essential to perform main duties; drafting complex English documents and preparing daily reports for anglophone leaders. Additional Information Occasional travel required.
