Role Description Arcadis is seeking a talented Project Manager, Civil and Utilities Engineering for our dynamic Toronto West office. We are looking for a team lead with a background in road and transit projects in Ontario. Experience in Environmental Assessments, preliminary and detailed design, transportation planning, traffic management, and traffic engineering would be an asset. This role will entail leadership, business development and client interaction. As a Project Manager you will assist in growing and maintaining the business, taking your professional portfolio to the next level and serving as a strategic member of the practice in Arcadis. Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you will create iconic and ground‑breaking infrastructure and places that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together. Role Accountabilities Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on civil, utilities, transportation‑infrastructure projects such as Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, preliminary designs, intersection, or corridor improvement studies Infrastructure Engineering task lead for large‑scale projects Review of preliminary and detailed design drawings, supporting report‑writing (e.g. Environmental Study Report, engineering studies), proposal writing Manage staff productivity and utilisation Mentor staff and project teams Supervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projects Foster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus Lead and direct business development activities in the GTHA Project coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budget Client liaison Participation in the management of the Infrastructure Group in Toronto West Office Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university 8+ years of Project Management experience as well as 8+ years of Transportation Engineering Roadway preliminary or detailed design experience P.Eng. (eligible for membership with PEO) preferred Experience with Metrolinx, MTO, Region of Peel, York Region, and Halton Region are an asset Experience with preliminary and detailed design of municipal infrastructure, arterial roads, highways and freeways (alignments, geometrics, staging, traffic management, roadside safety) Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads and Civil3D an asset Understanding of traffic engineering principles Familiarity with GTHA market conditions, public and private sector client base in and around the GTHA Expertise with construction inspection and preparation of reports Ability to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills are expected Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills, with commitment to excellence and high quality work Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Why Arcadis?
